If you think it needs a redo, it is probably your perception that needs one instead.

Truth be told, that did sound extremely arrogant. All he did was put forth a suggestion, I probably would have been miffed myself, if I read those lines in response.

Now, on topic. I am personally very fond of theme of the area. Note that I said theme, not the area itself. Some elements are really worthwhile and have a very medieval/paladin-like touch. I thought the idea of a witchkiller, or the pass one has to give to a certain NPC is just brilliant. However, I do agree that the area does need quite a bit of work. It was pretty much the same with the Necropolis. I feel that after some redescribing (<3 Thuban), it looks much more detailed and defined.

Tethos is one of the oldest areas in the game and as such, it still carries the building 'level' of the time with it. I think in the last few years, there has been a huge improvement in that field. The problem lies not only in the objects in that area, but in the descriptions themselves. Have you ever bothered reading the room/NPC ones? They lack quite a bit of credibility. It is also a heavily undervisited area, although it'd actually make a good leveling ground. Some tweaking in that aspect would also be useful. If any IMMs take it upon themselves to start redescribing Tethos, I'd be willing to contribute.

I'm sorry if saying redo gave people the wrong impression. I should have said Repair. It's hard to discuss things like items and such when that's ic info. I'm just saying that alot of the stuff that's changed was messed up. I don't think elf barbs should be out there. I also feel that the wimping of the tanso eq was a mistake. If you want to wimp eq wimp the stuff you buy in the cities and earn the good stuff.

In my opinion cities should sell iron and steel eq. Nothing better. If you want tanso you should have to fight for it or earn it. That's just me though. Main reason I used to go to fort tethos all the time was for some decent lewt. I'd like to see the armor in fort tethos restored to tanso steel, and what's more that tanso steel should be better then what you buy in the shop.

Sorry for saying, redo. What I should have said is repair. The items in fort tethos should be fixed to be what they are supposed to be.

That I can agree with :P

I'd also go as far as to say that tethos needs a few improved items or a couple of things making it worth going deep under the fort for lighties, and going high up the fort for darkies :P
