Summon isn't checking ethereal form. Bug or feature?

I don't see why summon should be affected or check for Ethereal Form.
While being ethereal you still are one entity. Summoning spell targets that entity and brings it to the Caster.

Being dead and manifested on the other side, you're still one entity, but on "borrowed" time while you're soulbound to the River of Death. As such, you cannot (and should not be able to) be summoned. Just an example.

My views.

Wait, are we talking about being summoned while ethereal or going ethereal and summoning someone/something else? Or is it both?

I can easily see how the latter could be abused, but it wouldn't really make much sense to have ethereal people be able to be summoned if they couldn't summon themselves. And making them unsummonable when ethereal would still be a sort of boon. Perhaps it would be enough protection wise to take away the rather cheap method of getting someone killed or thrown in jail.

I was ethereal and summoned a non-ethereal PC.

There are plenty of other restrictions on summon, but it doesn't appear as if etherealness has ever been one of them.

Elite. Sounds like its a feature not a bug!

I just wanted to ask before I got cursed for 'abusing' it.
