I'd personally like to see some sort of crazy ninja organization that's going around assassinating high profile NPCs in different kingdoms, be it controlled by like...a cabal or a guild. And affecting every other kingdom. Scare everyone. Shut down stores because owners were assassinated. Things like that.

That'd be an awesome global RP

I don't think we should let players be made into NPCS unless they were actually badass. I really don't like the idea that chars that get killed left and right are able to get [REDACTED] done, it just doesn't make any sense. I mean really... do imperials actually respect slayne?

Whether Slayne was really a PK god or not is irrelevant. What matters is that he bullied his way into overthrowing the Emperor and taking the throne for himself. Screw PK, screw respect, how many people actually do that? Maybe if we all tried to do it, we'd have a change of dynasty every month or so, but the point is, he did it, and very few people have ever done likewise. He's certainly the best in recent memory. Delear's RP made him pretty damn near a lich. For that, I vote that they can be NPCs if they want. Notable lightie characters--we'll take Frollith as an example since he seems to be the most popular, or at least the most mentioned--didn't leave their characters a chance to do that. There's a Feuille hall in the Exile newbie place, and that's all that's left of Frollith. If his RP had gotten him to be king of Exile, fine--but it didn't.

Delear barely ever died, though, which is why he was genuinely respected.

This is another example where intelligence and charisma will trump level/PK in Shattered Kingdoms. Slayne was an effective leader. People who can PK but can't hold together a faction are a dime-a-dozen. People who are great leaders and/or roleplayers will make a bigger difference in the game and have a better chance of being remembered for it.

Delear had a very involved ceremony taking place at his final login that was a rite for becoming a lich. I don't know if there's a NPC that's come of it to tell the truth, but I'd not be opposed to it. I wouldn't even attempt it, myself. He would be nearly impossible to capture in an NPC. At times I feel slightly out of place in portraying Slayne.

Frollith wouldn't have ever been made king of Exile (wtf?), as Queen Serena was ruling Taslamar.

And assasinations are cool, even if they fail. Remember the one on King Gerevan, OVT?

The one where Valessa hit a critical cleave on OVT, which didn't work because she was on mode stun?
