Uhm, what about that Amberdin npc thats been around for ages. Or even the d'astae NPCs, and guess who made them. I'll even throw in the Iori npc, who wasn't nearly as badass as Jardeks chars.

this all goes to show, it has nothing to do with RP or PK , even though it should have to do with both. It just has to do with which immortals you know.

I know Jardek usually makes/made some badass chars. Both in RP and PK ability. I can't think of one that has as huge of an impact as Slayne or Delear. I know sometimes, people who eventually become immortals might get NPCs based off of their chars.

Excellent RP/PK and overall great characters should be turned into NPC's.

With that said why, oh why was Trosaj made into an NPC?

He was a religion hopper.

Tried to join Zarathustra during the blood wars, Fresk didn't induct him on site so he went looking for another.

I raised some objections to the idea of Slayne being made Emperor. But I don't keep up with the day-to-day roleplaying in the game. Other administrators that are better at that than I am are in charge of doing it. And what I was told was that Slayne had been attempting to claim the title for 60 IC years (over a year) and had gotten the concession of both people in his own faction and leaders of other factions. In the end, I agreed with their reasoning as long as the title was only officially confirmed once Cannibal retired from playing the character. I don't really like the precedent of players being the actual leader of their kingdom. (Don't even bring up King Camby.)

Slayne being made an NPC is just one of those 1 in 100 occurances, the same way that we only let people switch cabals about 1 in 100 times. If everyone managed to do it, it wouldn't be epic when it deserves to be. Being friends with an immortal isn't what did it here. For that matter, Cannibal was on my [REDACTED] list for a long time after the rusted knife incident. (If you don't know, don't ask.) But he's made a better name for himself since then, and avoiding acting like an [REDACTED] on the forums doesn't hurt.

None of Rial's chars will be made an NPC any time soon.

Seriously, now I have a morbid sense of humor and all that, but Cannibals play-by-play commentaries the first time that log was posted, along with the contents of it. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard reading a log, I was literally in tears. Cannibal, you should PM that mother to me. I think it might actually persuade some of my uni-friends to start up a char if they got to read it.

Now I'm morbidly curious. What the hell?
