I don't think people are debating who wins in shaman vs paladin 1v1. In that situation it all depends on race, what weapons are being used, what cabals they are in, etc.

Which is better at tanking is the question - the answer is paladins.

They can bash with SH, which can be easily stopped by attacking any other member in the shaman's group. SH is situational.

*d'oh*

BTW, if a paladin or a hellion can't bash, that paladin or hellion needs to have his/her brain checked. That's what the speshul pets are for.

Actually, it's not. People have said that a shaman without voodoo is ruined. I posed the counterpoint that a shaman rapes a number of other classes in pvp. Voodoo is nice, but wholly unnecessary unless you've made yourself a voodoo cannon.

I agree that shamans can rape a number of other classes in pvp. Dispel magic, frenzy, staves, call lightning, etc. - all sick skills/spells if used correctly. What we were discussing is who tanks better, though. Paladins tank better. There is a whole lot more to PK than tanking.

For shamans, I actually consider frenzy an offensive spell. Because, unless you are trying to kill NPCs, you don't have enough concentration to hold any of the other absolutely necessary spells.

Muktar, you're an idiot, shamans are awesome. I would also bet on my self to beat most other people 1vs1 with a shaman, be they mercs or whatever, it's called get your dex maxed and get haste(and start off behind a pet), my last shaman with only 22 dex dodged a hell of a lot of bashes. IT is however hard to land a kill on someone as a shaman, unless you get lucky with spirit hordes, or the other person is silly.

Edit : Lots of other stuff, not going to get into all that though. >_<

Edit 2 : I'm pretty sure I already said it in this thread, but I could care less if voodoo got removed.
