A centaur hellion would be badass. Paladin, meh.
Dwarves, still meh.

Either way, yes!

You would definetly never want to see this type of knight mounting a steed. :o

Kinda takes away the knighty-ness for me.

I think adding new race/class combos like this is a great way to make some oldies like myself come back and play a little more often.

:D

As I've said many times before when this has come up, if you are dedicated enough to be a member of the clergy of an immortal, you should be allowed to be a paladin or hellion of that immortal. So if dwarves can be priests they should be allowed to be hellions too, same with centaurs and even halflings. Personally, I think halflings shouldn't be priests but should be allowed to be shaman.

The vote is overwhelmingly in favor of allowing centaurs/dwarves to be paladins/hellions.

Any word on this Dulrik?

I kinda wish that what faiths could have paladins and hellions was not hardcoded.

My reasoning is very simple, even IMMs who oversee the other faiths cannot flag paladins or hellions into the faiths should they and the high follower approve of the RP of the paladin.

I do not think paladins and hellions should often fall outside of the normal faiths but every now and then, I believe there is someone who can come up with an amazing idea that allows them to RP their concept better in other faiths rather than the common ones.

The paladin of Aludra was an awesome character. The hellion seeking Aludra had a very distinct dark twist on the notions of Love and even spoke his thoughts on them. Each of these characters have been rare and unique in thought and concept.

I could see dwarves being hellions of Sargas. They love a good fight. Or a hellion or paladin of Marfik? They love a good drink and bar brawl.

The problem is that the notion of 'knight' would change based on the faith.

Rather than hellion or paladin, it needs to be knight and branch from there based on faith. The abilities and spells coming from the faith more than the class.

Make a merc/barb that calls himself a paladin/hellion and joins a religion. If you want to make a paladin/hellion with access to their skills and all, join the paladin/hellion religions. It seems to me like too much of a massive balance undertaking to create new skill/spell sets for every religion just to give them all the ability to have knights. It seems equally ridiculous just to give all the religions knights anyway; Knights of fate? Knights of nature? Meh. Trying not to sound cheesy, just what makes a knight? BoG? Hellfire? Call armor? If the purpose of this is RP then it shouldn't really matter if you have those things or not, should it? Although I would appreciate if, under circumstances of exceptional RP, imms did make a few more exceptions here and there. Letting someone slip by every so often really does enrich the game.

As for centaurs and dwarves... I really don't see why not. Would they be imbalanced?
