Jardek is correct as usual with his assessment.

Paladins and Hellions have been the knightly, chivalrous types in SK. They bring with them honor and military discipline and nearly always rise to leadership positions within their respective churches.

Putting paladins in charge of Meissa and Hellions in charge of Sadr represents a fundamental change to the structure of those churches.

Specifically addressing the Meissa/Alshain issue, I appreciate the differing approaches to combating a singular threat- the existence of evil. Some have seen a brother/sister relationship between the two gods with Alshain clearly the more militant sibling. One: a group of priests and artisans freeing the masses of their sufferings and bringing joy to the their hearts. The other: gathering their courage and armies to bring the fight to the enemy.

Let's not lose this distinction.

With the RP direction the Meissians are doing right now, paladins would fit. I would actually say Hellions, since they just kill anything that isn't like them.

I do not think that I would like either faith to be able to accept knights.

I think wisdom is more fitting for paladins than meissa.

I don't think the sk playerbase has ever really gotten over the loss of Yenko.

Some changes I'm open to, but making more paladin and hellion allowed faiths is not one of them. I already talked about this on the healing forum. Meissa is a light-aura god and is understanding of some of her followers desire to destroy dark-aura followers. But that will NEVER make her a god of crusading battle might, no matter how her followers try to change it. She will always be more concerned with healing and the arts. That's her way. This is one of those situations where gods will not be dictated to by mortals, even if they are her followers.

:o Yenko was Sadr's former form. She had Pain, Suffering and Winter (if I remember correctly). She also had: hellions. Make a random alt in Krychire sometime Eusd and check out it's library. There are literally 38 books dealing with Sadr/Yenko. The majority of which are about Yenko. :-?
