You want more than that? Why? You have a harder time getting away, you can't use you weapon, you can't trip or bash, the things worn are dropped. Those are some pretty serious consequences in my book. You aren't going to last long if you loose your fighting arm and a leg.

That's my point, getting your limbs cut off is very serious business. And You might be able to grab one thing with your mouth but definitely not a whole suit of armor. Maybe not a stat penalty but it's just plain stupid to pick up stuff all the live long day with no arms.

So no get all with no arms?


Several years ago, I have read a few player versus player logs on Everwar MUD. On that MUD, there is a blood trail for those who have become wounded in combat, and it tells the pursuers which directions they go.

Obviously the idea isn't original, but it would be nice to see something like this. After amputation of arms and legs, or a player character has become pretty hurt, they may leave a blood trail. What do you think of this idea?

Getting a bunch of things without any limbs sounds like a bug to me, but the ability to relieve someone of their limbs in melee is right where it should be IMHO. By the way, fleeing without legs really doesn't work. Try it some time and see how far you get.

If someone’s completely lost both of their arms, I don’t think they’re going to have much time to worry about getting anything. Have people really been seeing it happen a whole ton?

You can crawl away with no legs, it's insanely hard but spam fleeing does save lives. And I've seen people with no arms walking about taking stuff out of their backpack and putting stuff in it, picking stuff up off the ground all while they're an armless person. And it probably should be harder to cut limbs off. They're some of the most insanely sinewy hard, compact durable parts of our body. (ie. You use your arms and legs to block falls so your other body parts don't get damaged.) No one goes for a limb removal weapon strike unless it's a cleaving weapon and it's a sure shot. Most warriors try to disable the arm or leg with a strike of their weapon, not take the thing off.

This is so untrue. Bones are tough, yeah, but falls break them all the time. Using your limbs to stop falls is also dangerous as you risk breaking them. Anybody that takes some sort of classes that involve tumbling will know about the transfer of motion so as to minimize injury to their bodies.

From a realistic standpoint, bladed weapons hit with obscene and excessive force. It is easy enough to sever a limb (or decapitate) in a single cut.

It's not your bones that are taking the damage and such, it is your armor and the design of said stuff to take advantage of transferring and absorbing the excessive force of a bladed weapon.
