See, this is the thing about playing fantasy games: you're always moving forwards, but unless you want to completely revamp the game in every way, you can't actually get to where you're going, so to speak. Gnomes will always be on the verge of a discovery, but never quite get it. Technologically speaking, the game is frozen in time--but that's an intrinsic part of fantasy games. They're like a simulation of "the good old days" almost, except incredibly exaggerated.

And gnome priests rock for mah levelin so shup, Erevan.
