The skill finesse answers your first question. ( mastered finesse means mastered in all weapons as it pertains to your parry success rate don't train finesse and you won't be able to parry a pole-arm as well as a sword, yes as a merc you need to mastere every weapon, not something you need to test it's just a fact from when finesse was introducted look the finesse thread up)

No. Not at all. (blah blah blah)

And no, not at all. (your a dirty [REDACTED])

The finesse help file seems to suggest that the only thing affect by weapon skill is disarm. This, too, is something already well known - the question is, is parry somehow included in this. I don't see that discussed anywhere. If you have a link of where an immortal said it, please include that link! Thanks.

I just think those help files need a nice overhaul so it tells us what they do! >.<

These questions are things that should be obvious to any character IC yet are impossible to answer as it stands. Does learning riposte make you parry more...I mean, how can that not be known IC? Could it please be explicitly stated in the helpfile or at the least, answered here?

Any willingness to take a look at this thread please, imms?

Appreciated.

You're asking for an explanation of the OOC mechanics of the code itself (hence why you're asking for a coder to answer), and yet peppered among your posts is the acronym "IC". I'm not seeing the IC link.

If you want the IC answer, just research a dictionary for the meaning of the words riposte, parry, etc...
