Payne tried to tell me you didn't choke slam his [REDACTED] up against a wall and kill him when you made Seyanos and Rill your HF's before Ariakas turned into Sargas. I said he was lieing.

Also I thank you Bug for showing me the Ariakas chillen spot...with your bad-ass male human man-slave in the Bed of Conquest.

....yah...I know that wasn;t your fault. But...you still let it be...

Seyanos and Rill were made high followers while I was away from the game for a couple of weeks, and when I got back I was told by BugTussle that I could keep the Warlord title while Seyanos was High Mage and Rill was High Warrior. You're confused about something, or outright lying. Payne was only ever killed by Ariakas when Payne was promoted to Warlord.

Honestly I don't remember too well. Though I do remember the hilarity of Ariakas v1's stud of conquest. LOL. How embarrassing when you pointed that out to me. Oi! That oiled and muscular body, vavoom! What was E-man thinking when he made that, eh? Or maybe Khore or Yopparai put it in there while he was a way? (Random and Yopparai were well know pranksters back then, for you relative newbies. When they became IMMs they had more freedom to do things like that.)

You guys have no idea the kind of things that can be found within the mud behind the scenes. A lot of times they are old, disused areas or ideas that were 'fun' at the time and then someone came along with a little better sense of things.

I remember old Nerina had a Kei and Yuri boss NPCs involved in the justice system. Thankfully they weren't a part of the game, just old NPC obs taking up a vnum.

It was interesting going through the old and unseen stuff. Like an archealogical dig through the ages. The most interesting place for me outside of Zhenshi was the IMM Cathedral Tower, a place that looks like it originally was meant to be accessable on the lower floors by players with the upper floors set aside for IMM offices. Dulrik's office had a copy of Yoppari Nude on his desk.

Zarathustra's office had a nice multi link room that took you where ever he was building at the time. So did Nada's and... Oh memory has failed me. Goddess of Magic. Oh well, someone might know it. I can't remember. Fantasic IMM gear on that one too. All done with motes of light. Very creative and immortal like.

I can't remember the IMM's name of the office I took over, but it was a filing cabinent. I made it the Plane of Eternal Boredom. Basically my concept of Meissa (not meant as a rule, but as I saw things) was that her cleansing of the world of the impurities would eventually end up with a world of no substance, just a flat expanse with no features.

Jinnahra's office was full of unicorns and teddy bears, with rainbow decals all over the place. Rainbow Monkey heaven. Just like Dreddnahrs.

Okay, not really. What was really there is not a topic for the weak stomach. It was a picture of Summ97. Eww!

Ariakas v1 had a great script though. I found his main "gadget", which had a lot of his scripts loaded on it. In the olden code (old description code that is), you could set your description using the DESC and DESC + commands for the extra lines. His scripts had a War and Peace version of Ariakas that changed his main description and loaded/wear equipment, and he had a really nice set of armor on the war version.

I know that the current way of having a static pantheon is the better way to go, but I think we lost something with the fun of new IMMs coming along with new everything. The bad thing was when an IMM faded away. Your character could be left out in the cold as a priest or P/H. It really sucked. Worse then when you lost an HF. As long as you had an IMM around you could get a symbol or an investment via a NPC at least. Lose the IMM and you knew that your time was limited. All it took was a new IMM to come along and destroy the old in favor of the new. A priest or H/P always had a difficult RP to do changing their worship from one IMM to another. Pain in the arse.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun back then. Met a lot of great people in game and in chat. A few I met IRL and that was fun too. Met a lot of disturbed people too.

Remember that guy from Hawaii who first pretended to be a teenage girl with cancer? Then he killed off his online personality. There was a nice memorial service done online for her and players gathered to remember her. Then we found it was all a lie. Later on this same guy was telling us he was coming to the Faire and would allow all the underage kids sleep in his room. CREEPY!!! Yah, definitally creepy.

Well, night folks!

Buggie

I wish oldies like Bug would start regularly writing about their memories of the stranger aspects of SK. Really enjoyable to read.

Everything was centered around the pagoda, which was in the northwest part of the city.

All I remember about Old Nerina is that some shopkeeper had a like flaming/glowing/humming robe or something, and I thought it was awesome(as a newb). :/
