So I was trying to picture how someone two sizes larger than yourself would be able to "aim lower" on you in a fight. And my conclusion was that perhaps it could be made a boon for smaller races that this becomes impossible?
Of course it would not work if the smaller counterpart in the battle was flying.

Any comments?
Thank you, have a nice day.

Then smaller races can't aim upper as well against larger opponents, right?

And let giant sized warhammers instakill sprites if they manage to hit them.

Keep such real life issues away from a game, unless you want to destroy playability totally.

Sounds neat, but it seems unnecessary, especially for the balance problems that would ensue.

It would add to actual RP scaling issues.
But when you do something like that, then you have to start thinking how the hell a sprite would ever hurt a giant.
Especially when you think that a sprites weapon is no more then a toothpick compared to a giant, and would never make it through the giants armor let alone barely piercing bare flesh.

Good idea, but it has no real place in SK.

Only through a gross misunderstanding of martial combat and mechanics of the body and weaponry could someone think some of this stuff.

Actually I was just taking a stab at the everlasting problem of size vs size in combat and what I would argue has led to a new stream of (near) code exploition
And sorry Cyra, A giant simply wont hit a dwarfs legs with a club. Especially not if he is wielding a shield. I don't care how many snes rpgs you have played, but it simply wont happen.

Back to the point of this size difference... it simply kills the atmosphere of the game having to imagine dwarves the size of giants wandering around. Atleast to me...

Dwarves don't have to be the same size as something to kill it. YOU tell a dwarf he's too short to kill anything and he'll headbutt you in the balls.

Yeah this is solved in DnD, but since there is no aim in DnD it's much simpler and I'm thankful for the die rolls for it. Size bonus on to hit and to be hit. Smart thinking.

In this case it's not broke, don't fix it. Perhaps the giant has long arms, or the halfling can jump. Try to imagne they are not static in line characters when fighting.

Besides, every one knows that when a halfling fights a giant, he's leaping off of buildings or scrambling on the giant himself to hit him in the head duh. and the giant hits the halflings legs cause he made a jump at the wrong time 8)
