I would agree if it took a giant with 23 STR for example to 25 with G.Str.
I would agree if it negated chill touch and weaken penalties to a target.

Leaving the group before a stave is brandished to avoid unwanted fatigue without bonuses sounds reasonable. I always warn with my priestess before brandishing fatigue producing staves, and I always ask if those are needed.

I would not agree with G.Str getting anyone above 25 Str. That is why it's called G.Str. If you want it to get you to 30, as for a new spell called "Titan's Strength" or something.

G.STR is fine as it is for me, it works well enough. Why fix something that isn't broken?

My thoughts on the matter :)

The best idea is getting GSTR to fail if someone already has 25 STR, be it because he is giant or because of <cabal spell>. This way giants don't get %$@## up from phat scripted lewt also.

Once again someone throws in a decent idea (not having gstr affect you if your str is already 25) and everyone and their moms start crying and asking for more buffs for their characters to make the game -oh even more- easier. When will you people grow up - just a little?

Any spell that is cast that cannot take you over the maximum potential because of your character already being there should automatically fail to affect your character.

Yes, obviously not only GSTR should be changed. Haste should be changed as well and <religion spell> and <religion spell> must be affected by such a change. No need for more fatigue owning ppl's constitution.

Are religion spells being treated like cabal abilities in discussions on the forums?

dunno any race with 25str 25dex.

Which race is that?

I misread your post, I thought you said let people mod up to 25 regardless of race, and magic take it up more.

My bad.

GS can *also* be used, I believe, to offset weaken, the same with haste for slow.

For example. Giant XYZ is using a huge cold iron battle axe. I know this, so I plan on weakening him, making him weak enough that he can't carry it and he'll drop it.

SURPRISE!!! He had GS on him so you just knock him down to his natural giantness. Sucks to be you!!!!

GS is fine. Period.
