this would relieve so much stress off casters when they get taunted in PK and need to release a spell or two to be able to continue to cast aggressive spells, but at the same time don't want to lose important stuff such as IE charm person

I really hope this gets implimented, in the mean time.

The release 1, release 2, et cetera are the most recent spells you have cast. So you cast charm person, then eth, then detect invis, release 1 will *always* release the detect invis.

Just remember which spells you cast most recently and you will know which to release.

I like Alshain's idea with a minor semantics adjustment.

We already have 'get all', 'put all container' and the more limited 'get all.coin', 'put all.ste container'.

Release all.detect
Release all.invis

Release bless (spam saying holding more than one, nothing happens)

Yeah, I like this idea.

How would you use the above syntax with multi-word spells though?

What multi-word spells are you talking about? Detects are self only. I don't know all the spells off-hand since I'm limited in my knowledge, but how many other-casted multi-word spells could get mixed up?

put all.ste container will put all steaks and steel in your container. c detect will try to cast a spell. Sorry if I'm being too perma-newbish, but I can't find an issue here.

Also, there was always a problem with identical charms/controls.

For example you hold control over two sessprian ghouls. You need to release one of them to regain your mana, so you have it drop all of it's armor...How can you tell which is which?

rele all.giant (strength)
rele all.airy (water)
rele all.water (breathing)

I'm probably missing some.

Any ability to release using spell names is going to be good, don't get greedy!

I don't understand what was greedy. The point was there is are no spells that you can have on multiple targets that are multi-word that you would have issues with.

Detect invis is released by simply typing "vis". And for detect buried and detect hidden . . . when they're cast on yourself, if you were to "confuse" the two . . . just like was said earlier:

rele detect h
rele detect i

The POINT was, Alshain didn't have much a point.

I don't think you were being greedy, you were clarifying someone else's idea.

What I meant by getting greedy is that it sounds like Dulrik is seriously considering implementing this, and to make his life easier he was going to make it release all of the named spell if you are concentrating on multiple spells of the same name.

Now we(as a player base) are asking for additional ways to manage releasing spells by the name using all. qualifiers ect...
