Mercenary, barbarian, swashbuckler, paladin, hellion, shaman, scout. I think warlocks only get wands and staves, but I'm not positive. Either way there are more than three classes that will be without law immunity.

I understand where your coming from but unless there's a polymorph wand I don't know of then only sorcs, priests, rogues, bards, and necros would be able to polymorph. This is 5/13 classes so its not like you'd have full groups of nine all polymorphed running through a city all the time killing everything in sight. For me the fact that its only 5/13 of the classes makes it have even less potential for abuse and all the more potential for RP.

Like Payne said: Mercenaries, Swashbucklers, Barbarians, Warlocks, Paladins, Hellions, Shamans, and Scouts have no way of polymorphing.

Necromancers, Rogues, Bards, Sorcerors, Priests, would be the only classes that could recite scrolls of polymorph, and that would be -highly- risky as it is, as scroll length is no where near infinite. They'd run the risk of polymorph fading while they're still in the city, and getting jumped by the guards solo. I honestly think the risk would be quite enough of a discouragement as it was to prevent people from constantly trying it.

No sort of warrior class could enter the city using this tactic and just spam bash people in the inn, only really casters could go hunting, and only briefly, and they'd likely have to be solo.

I think it would add quite a bit of excitement to the game, I already think the law system is horribly overpowered as it is. Jail sentences are ridiculous, and -completely- discourage anyone from trying to enter a city for a bit of action without a massive group.

Cities should be guarded definitely, but like Terrus said they should -not- be impregnable strongholds like HQ keeps.

Yeah. Warlocks get staves and wands only.

Btw, there are OP poly wands in SK. So warlocks get access to polymorph anyway.

Scroll poly lasts quite long enough to go cause some serious trouble in any city. And that's weak-spell scroll poly.

Last time I used the scrolls, they lasted long enough to get a job done and it's not even hard to time them from after the recite. But like I said before if you wish Polymorph to grant law immunity/evasion then you'll be looking at spell restrictions, one being the spell should no longer be able to scribe. Rogues + Polymorph with law immunity would be way to much, especially now with the current state of melee damage output. I'd hate to see a rogue poly into a Giant running about a city and one shotting people whenever he feels like it.

Gosh I got that horribly wrong.
Never played a pally/hellion/shaman and for some reason thought they got scrolls.
Scouts didnt even cross my mind :P

I still don't want polymorph to cause law immunity unless its made unscribeable.

I definitely agree with making it not scribe able. I just think it should make people immune to laws even if just sorcs and/or wand users
