This is incorrect.

Another thing about this system. As soon as something is found to be "elite" fifty of them get added. I remember when I played Synerie the only kamas in the game were the ones from the slight female halflings. Now there's what, like 5+ addy/energy ones and more lower quality ones?

A sword is a sword the biggest difference the material type will yield is how long that sword will stay a sword.

Though some material types should have restrictions to what they can be used for. Armor made of Stone/Obsidian/Glass/Plant/Crystal is a good example.

It's [REDACTED] when 75% of the specializes in game are in 3 specific weapons. Out of like what 100 or more different types? It's even more [REDACTED] when there's enough of these "elite" weapons to go around for all of the mercs, swashies, and barbs, and the occasional paladin/hellion. Oh and then the sorcs(and other classes) who like to hoard.

You should specialize in a weapon that you think fits the image of your character. That way you won't have any reason to cry if the "top elite" weapon types get wimped.

I just sleep peacefully with the knowledge that there is very little chance of a code change actually happening which would prevent warriors from killing people in one bash.

This is why my character has yet to take any specializations. The character hasn't found one that he is comfortable enough with.
