Okay...so help me out here. You're saying you can't be banished unless you murder someone? Or have 10 other crimes?

So, for example if you participated in crime, but did not stike the killing blow can you be banished?

That's correct (at the very least in my experience with the law in the Northern Wastes).

Hence why many players stay on mode stun and commit assault and battery, then let their already banished friends hit the last 'kill' and get the crime. Then, later on, the cheater can turn themselves in for assault and battery and remove all crimes again without ever being outlawed.

I could have sworn that a while back, Dulrik stated removing your EQ to turn yourself into the law was considered cheating.

I definitely remember that being stated at some point, I just don't remember where it is. You're not supposed to strip out of your EQ or empty your bank account before turning yourself in. At that point you are avoiding punishment as much as possible by abusing the coding.
