Algorab and I basically just got sick of having to deal with people with dubious or no basis for their supposed IC knowledge of the place and its secrets. We threw in a really nasty trap that one could still technically have gotten around, the idea being more that the magic was growing unstable in the absence of understanding/control than "sealed off" per se.
Then people complained to Dulrik that they were getting killed. So, we were asked to undo the change, and the only solution made available to her was to reverse the change she'd made or remove it altogether.
