Wow...what a huge QQ fest.
Hellion noobies...blindness has a much quicker casting time than magma spray. Even if they get the jump on you, you should be able to fire off a blindness and stop them from casting. If they bash you on the jump...then you're just dumb for being front row with a hellion.
Anyone with blindness should not be complaining.
DA is starting a flood because his uber armor has a chink in it now. I don't know why he's qq'ing anyway since DA never leaves his house without odds being overwhelmingly in his favor. Unless hell has frozen over and his play style for the last 9 years has suddenly changed. I'm not saying he doesn't pk smart, it is smart. It's just a cowardly and boring way to play the game in my opinion, but I like being a one man army so I guess I'm biased.
Dirt kick...hey...you know that skill that most melee get but you're all too addicted to flight to use...yeah, maybe you should land and try using it. It's instant cast even!
Geez, I used to waltz all over any warlock that looked at me wrong and never worry for a single moment about them. Now I might actually have to consider them a small threat. And no, I'm not playing a warlock but I don't see any point in changing the spell from it's initial no mp damage reduction. I don't even see why D would raise the initial casting time since all the disabling spells cast faster than it anyway.
If I were going to make a change, it would be to make dirt kick more effective for players (perhaps making the success rate scale higher with level?). NPCs don't need any help in that department.
This would make people need to stay on the ground more, which is a common trend that D's updates have been pushing, and it also revives the usefulness of track...which is pretty useless most of the time these days.
Finney has pointed out that there are several ways of bypassing magma with every single class. I am in full agreeance with pretty much everything that he has said. Stop being lazy folks and get some reflex. No more 85 mp suits that allow you to walk all over armies of spellcasters.
To quote Wu Tang Clan "You need to diversify your bonds [REDACTED]."
Quoted for truth my friend.
