You attempt to camouflage yourself. < Did I camouflage or not?

Why can't we get something for that to let you know it's successful? It could be something like

You successfully camouflaged yourself

or under affects like

Affect: Camouflage

I think it might help a bit then thinking your camouflaged and you sticking out like a sore thumb.

alias test o all sniff <insert char's name/race - depending on how often you disguise>

camo; test

Simple as that.

Or send tells to your friends in the who list and ask them if they know who this is. :P

There are a few pretty easy tests for camo/hide. No, neither of those should be on the affects list. No, neither of those should get successful attempt messages.

Sneak should, because you bloody well can tell if you're making any noise when you move, but hide and camo are something you can't be 100% about until someone else walks by and either sees you or doesn't.

It took me a few seconds to realise what you were saying here (it is early) but this makes a lot of sense. I hope this gets changed.

Frankly, the only way to test hide is to type list around a shopkeeper OR, if you're a twink, type train around anyone who can't see hidden. Sneak is easy--you make sure that you're hiding, then sneak and try to move. If you step out of the shadows, it didn't work. If you move as normal, you're hiding and sneaking.

Camo is easy, seeing as you can always order your pet to do something without breaking camo. I wonder if ordering a pet makes you step out of the shadows...

I always order my pet to try to pat me on the top of my head to see if camo worked.

If you are a scout, you are going to have a pet. Why do anything as long as anything anyone is saying, when you can just order your pet to do something to you. It isn't like you are going to go camo in the middle of battle. So, your point is?
