Or, I mean, we can just call it magic.

Also, one more question for D.

If magma is not really magic as you say, why do magic resistant races like elves/delves/halflings/sprites get reduced damage from it?

Or are these races fire resistant or something and we don't know it? Please, add this to their helpfiles.

This is sarcasm obviously and another way to point how stupid and imbalanced this change is.

The races are magically resistant, not resistant to magic.

That means they magically are able to resist whatever D decides they can resist.

:D

OK, this made a lot of sense. Thanks a lot Cannibal.

Welcome to SK, a game without any sense at all.

It's welcome to a fantasy game where elves, delves, sprites and halflings are for some unknown reason fire resistant, when in no other fantasy setting such a thing exists.

They were used in the last summer's fires in Selkwood forest to form up fireproof walls and prevent the flames from spreading.

Great fantasy game! :o

Thats the good thing about fantasy games, only the fantasy sets the limit. If every fantasy game were the same there wouldn't be much fantasy in it... :P

It's called balance. If you don't like it, please do the rest of us a favor and take your incessant crying and whining to another MUD.

It's called stupidity actually and this is one more point that proves it.

If it is indeed balance though, update the help files that these races are fire resistant. Then obviously give them fire resistance generally, including spells like flamestrike, hellfire and blasts of flame. Then you'll have to advertise a game with halfling firemen ready to rescue kittens from the trees and stuff.

I'd love to see halfling necromancers rescue kittens from flames only to torture them afterwards.
