I asked this exact question in another thread. To paraphrase Big D:

It's not against the rules, but some imms would consider it "lame" (at least D would) and if you pray about some buried stuff, there's a chance they'll junk it all. But otherwise you're not going to get curses, hells, anything or the sort for doing that.

Now you're trying to tout the rules when you walk the line yourself?

Oh, I don't think what he does is walking the line. He is abusing, for example, the item aura code just as hard as this alleged abuse of the law system that he is crying about.

How? Well, I can't say, I saw what happened to Ardith when he mentioned certain abilities!

First of all, I'd like to inform certain newbies who really have no idea about mechanics that every sorc in SK can do what my priest does just as good. Charm person and scribe is a very powerful combination and it has been used since forever from smart sorcs.

On another matter, and since Achernar apologised to me already, I'd like to hear Lakir's reasons for what he says. If he doesn't want to say these here, he can PM me with these reasons. Who knows, I might need a good laugh.

Oh, and if Enishi is correct, I guess over 80% of the playerbase is not playing the game as intended according to the implementor's views. GG.

At the risk of my forum ID being deleted:

I'm sorry, but charm and scribe scroll is nothing on what you got. Yeah, you can do that, it takes roughly five times as long, and only works on items that can be enchanted, not to mention your method can keep the old enchants. I suppose you could charm a lightly, have it pick up a stave, put it in your sack, and give it to you, than charm another lightly to get it out of the sack, and brandish it for you. Seem your way is a big short cut to what would otherwise be called twinky behavior to begin with.

On this topic, I'm not sure I've ever done it on purpose, I don't usually turn myself in on, unless I'm going to go and serve all my time everywhere. I do very frequently kill people in cities with auto surrender on, get reported by a NPC, and then move a room into a guard, promptly losing my eq and getting executed. =/

Killing someone in prison is about the worst thing I've heard being done in a long while, unless you're aiming to save him from his long sentence.

I disagree. Sounds awesome to me.
