It depends on the character concept.

A paladin will not be afraid of being killed.

A priestess of love might.

A fighter of sadr might even enjoy it.

MAYBE IF DEATH MEANT SOMETHING? Why would my character care about dying, when she knows she'll just be right back to life in 5 minutes with some weak-ass "disorientation" as the only penalty. And no, you can't go with the "zomg the pain of dying" or whatever. It can't be that much worse than getting stabbed in the face FIFTY TIMES. >_>

I used to RP being semi-afraid of death(back in Ravaelana times), when I got RP back out of it from other people. That doesn't really happen anymore.

So add a lvl loss at execution and make it mean something. :P

Now Syn, this is a joke. But it would certainly make death mean something and ppl would stop dropping all their lewt, go grab a quick execution/rez and be free in an enemy kingdom again.

I can see XP loss at execution, anything even close to half of a level is way too much though.
