That already works since it is doing damage.

Wow, you're right. But who's to say it's not a good idea?

What? It already works that using healing on undead is not limited by the cap, since it is acting as a damage spell. So what are you talking about a good idea?

Unless you are referring to healing on anyone shouldnt be capped, in which case, I already supported that argument, just read back a few posts.

Oh... well its not. An priest damage is straight up, not a per second thing anyways. Magma is probably closest, but anything on a tick like poison, plague I guess is still closer than harm or SoF.

You're taking the word 'dpsing' too literally. I meant dpsing as in playing an offensive role in the group. Sry, I'm still use to wow terms.

I leveled a halfling priest to GM without wearing any EQ, save hand slots and my symbol. His strength was at Strong, too, and his charisma as low as it can be for halflings. (Low sociable, I think)

So yeah, it isn't bad. At lower levels (6-15 or so) you easily solo level without any EQ. It's the levels right before you get SoF that are hardest, but if you can't find ONE other person to either train with you, or help you out through those levels as a PRIEST, you got problems. Even then, it's possible solo. It just is.

Oh, and DPSing doesn't necessarily imply damage over time spells. That would be "dotting." Speaking from the WoW vernacular, of course.

I have leveled several priests, right before SoF levels are the crappiest. Still the level priests get second attack is the same as SoF. What's the point by then? I dont even think any of my later priests learned second attack cause they would never have used it.

It isn't useless.

Ever seen a priest with a siege crossbow? It actually can hurt, go figure.

Dwarf priests (Even though they are bad) could also easily benefit from this with axes, I'm sure. Just two thoughts.
