As I've said elsewhere, don't PK if you can't handle losing. Unless you're one of the "pros" who only fights when they have double their enemies numbers or sits in their keep all day, you're not going to win them all.

Secondly, learn from your mistakes. If you keep doing the same thing over and over again (IE: Going afk while sleeping in enemy territory, or really going afk at all) then you deserve every hard knock you get. 90% of most deaths can be avoided if you think ahead.

Thirdly... just think about what you're doing. You apparently played a giant barb so you could hit fury, spam bash and hope that it would be easy, but if you run around spamming bash hoping to get any decent kills, you're going to be sorely disappointed. I was recently sitting in the North, watching you "help" a necromancer build an army of undead, and somehow you ended up killing him. No enemies were around, nothing was threatening anyone, and you managed to get someone killed because you spammed bash instead of running away.

Lastly, you never -have- to PK. Be a pacifist until you feel confident, train in areas that don't get people mad at you, don't join a cabal or don't use cabal skills until you are strong enough, and you'll be fine.

In general though, I was disappointed with you in Bork. I know it sounds OOC, and it is, because I knew you were playing him, but it's really easy to tell when someone just isn't thinking about tactics, or even trying to be smart while playing.

Shortly lived. This is why I wish cabals were more secretive like they used to be, maybe people wouldn't go so quickly. Overall, I liked Bork *shrug*

When I rolled Bork I originally intended his rp to be some what like Lenni from Of Mice and Men with a twist of The Unusual suspects. If anyone knows what I'm talking about. But it all went out the window when I was "suspected of being a harlequin" so once everyone knew I had to help fellow Harlys pk. That was mistake number one I am not getting involved before Gming anymore. I rolled him for 1 v 1 combat but no one pks solo anymore which is a shame.

I guess it was my fault he died so much but in the end one can only handle so much. Now to reroll.

Lol. Sorry to see you go. I stopped Pking solo when I started being met by a minimal group of 4.

That has become commonplace and seems to be a big drawback for fun with most of the logs I have read.

I for one know how often you died, I would rezz you only to get a request a few minutes later, and yeah, it does suck and can be frustrating but like others are saying you don't need to always get into PK right away.

Stay out of Cabals/Tibs for a bit. Someone suspects you of being in a Cabal, denial is your best friend, and honestly as a Thubanite, if I were you I would have lied my [REDACTED] off. Were you a harly? It doesn't matter if you are or are not, help different people, and not just a certain group. If you are a harley, and with other harlies, have them us their spells instead of you. That way you can just say hey, if I were a harley wouldn't I have done such and such. It is all about putting just a bit of doubt in someones mind.

I am glad that you are going to roll again, I would hate to see a player go over something so silly as just being PKed a lot. But I am saddened to see you don't want to get involved in the world around you until you are GM. You can have a strong character who makes an impact without being involved in PK.

Also, and I hardly know anything about PK, but it seems to me that if you are not part of a group others may be more inclined to one on one PK than just group PK. Find a nemesis and then the two of you can have at it rather than say the Hammer vs the CoN etc.

That's largely true, but not entirely. My last char would often run solo. I never fought much because I had to be very careful in the battles I chose, but I got some good, fun fights out of it.
