Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely. And I have seen a plethora of examples in-game.
With great power comes great responsibility. Unfortunately, this truism is ignored in both mainstream culture and the counter-culture. There is a sizable minority IRL that hold this truism in great regard but that minority shrinks considerably in games like this.
With the above in consideration, I believe 'who religion' should actually be taken back off-line altogether and auto-anonymous should either hide affiliation altogether or be something along the lines of a three-way switch; i.e.,

Regardless, ungreeted cab/trib members should remain race/class unknown in who-lists. I never understood how I, a newly inducted vet cabalite, would suddenly know all the GM cabalites by race and class; or how I, a GM cabalite, would suddenly know the six newly inducted jman cabalites I never met.
