Question,

If I'm knocked into prone position, is there a chance my spells should be getting disrupted? Doesn't seem to be happening. Am I lucky, or is this unintentional? Just seems I'm waiting the 'lag time' and then the spell goes off. My int's good, but by no means great.

Prone no longer puts you to resting position. Spells were disrupted because you were put to resting position, as well as fighting people and you didn't have enough concentration for it.

So normally spells won't be disrupted if you go prone. They might still get disrupted if too many things start hitting you though.

The rule is called NO BOTS. It's been directly in the rules from the start. If it's not currently clear, I'll make it a bit more clear. The terminology used which should have been clear at the time is 10+ years old now.

EDIT:
Rule clarified:
5. NO BOTS -- Because Shattered Kingdoms is a roleplaying mud, this naturally precludes the usage of client programs features, such as triggers, to automate your character to take or respond to an action or to prevent yourself from being logged out. You may use triggers to modify how info is presented to you, such as to highlight or gag text, but if you aren't at the keyboard, your character must void out in the same amount of time as normal.

EDIT 2: Unfortunately adding this text means I have to split the rules into two text files. I can see why we haven't clarified some of these before.

Finally! I had people telling me I was making that up the last time I tried to point that out. You REALLY need to keep the help files clear and up to date, expecially the rules.

Do you understand the concern players have that, for the first time ever, there has been a code change into SK that has increased the usefulness dramatically of triggering?

If nothing else I'm trying to cover bases when a pet / party member is getting knocked into prone so I'm not running off without them. I'd like to suggest an 'auto wait' where if you have a followers, if one is still prone you get something, even if it's 'Everyone isn't ready to go yet.' ... or better yet, if you typed look if you could see who was prone. Either way. Better than what we have now.

Not sure if this was an issue before or if I'm just leading more groups now or have a pet more regularly now.

I'd just like to be able to see when Bill/Derk/charm is prone :s
there's nothing more annoying than missing it, and then moving on without the charm.

Set a highlight trigger in your client. When you get messages from a bash/trip(failed or successful), put a big flashing message in your client like PRONE! PRONE! PRONE!, then you know you'll have to wait for a regain their footing message(a good idea is to put another flashing message here also).

This may have already been said but Im not reading through five pages but I am a huge fan of most of prone, but not all of it. I dont like how barbarians can now berserk when bashed. I dont like how NPCs with tails and NPCs that have scripts can still use them when bashed either. There are a few more but you get the idea. I dont think it's right. Is this going to be permanent? And by permanent I dont mean prone itself, just these little quirks that make things harder on me.

Rofl. Barbs were garbage before prone, and they still are. I'm still waiting for Peso's logs of CoN Barbs >>> Keeper Mercs. I haven't seen any yet.
