Why is it impossible for a swash who holds only his main weapon to disarm someone?

And why can't a swash (probably mercs too) trip someone who has been attacked from someone who is not in the swash's group? Even if you are not part of a group you get the "someone is in front of you" message.

Last time I played a swashie for real, you didn't attack with your offhand weapon if your main hand one got disarmed. You'd have one weapon wielded and you'd be punching. Are you sure you didn't get your main hand weapon disarmed?

Yes I'm sure. And I think you continue attacking with your other weapon if one of them is not held. But I should test all four cases just to be sure, main+off hand * hit + disarm.

Syn is right. If a swashbuckler is wielding only his off-hand weapon he cannot use it to attack/disarm. He only gets one punch/round as if he is holding no weapons at all. However, and this is the reason I was confused, if your main hand is severed you continue to hit with your off-hand weapon but you still can't disarm with it. Can we have some feedback from an imm please for trip too?

It is odd.
Against swashies, disarm hits the off-hand weapon first though. So that shouldn't be too much of a worry.

But swashies wielding only a weapon in the offhand will punch, but can still parry/eparry/riposte with the off-hand weapon.
I would think it would be a minor problem with the coding of how the combat system works

I thought disarming a swashie hit one of the weapons randomly.

Second bump. Do I have to make a thread in the gameplay with a title written in capitals and start qqing and saying that the imms are re*ards to get a reply from someone who can fix it? I know it is stupid but it seems it works. There are 3-4 bugs here that screw a whole class. Please do something or at least reply. Thanks.

I can do nothing to fix it. Email Dulrik if you want to get his attention.
