In The Hall Of Profession
You are standing in a long featureless hallway. The walls and floor are
a neutral gray color, while the ceiling vanishes into the darkness above.
The only way to pass here is through one of the portals that loom ahead.
Each of the portals is labelled with one of the professions of the world.
Obvious exits: mercenary barbarian swashbuckler scout bard rogue priest

Sorcerors are the most common of the wizardly professions, although they can
be hard to find in the more uncivilized kingdoms. Sorcerors are extremely
weak in physical combat, but their spells are a must for any truly worthy
group of adventurers. Sorcerors concentrate on those spells which affect
the world and people around them. The attack spells that they do receive
can be used to spectacular effect, and few can travel across the world as
quickly as a sorceror.

Snuffles is wrong.

Halfling + shaman = awesomeness

The awesomeness of this combo is just beyond imagination. Probably the best race stat wise for a shaman.

I'm not wrong, just because something is awesome, it doesn't exclude the possibility that something else is awesome.

Halflings have their own form of sorcerororererororery that they were gifted with. It's called necromancy.

Go read your sk history books.

Actually after the last debate on these forums about how the class should be spelled, I decided to start revising the name as I found it convenient. The portal just happens to be an early example. Also notice the class help files (which I admittedly just updated now), although it still accepts either spelling of the word to find it.

I've always thought Sorceror looked better but I guess the dictionary only lists Sorcerer.
