I don't [REDACTED], I just point out how stupid some builders are and how they lack any sense of game balance mechanics wise when they create items.

I mean, even builders like Wert, they also create elite items but they:
1) Make them unique or very limited
2) Make them have some cost at their scripts
3) Make them high level and hard to get(harder than just buy necklace or whatever)

Hell, even Sklz(or was it jerin that revamped the Iron Citadel) added several items that have this -great MR, but all these items are placed in an area that requires a group and effort to get to. Not a single level 30 character can get them like the no-dachis.

But if builders like Algorab like to add 8 or so full max AC diamond suits that start with +4 MP on NPCs found in Exile(better than most adamantite in SK, only Karnak's suit is better afaik and you can't compare it to a simple request command or a summon) or those cheat refresh necklaces, they totally destroy the game balance.

Elite EQ is supposed to be limited. Not everyone and their mother should run around dressed up with sick armor and phat scripts. If they die, they should have a hard time to acquire the nice armor again, more so the elite scripts.

But I guess phiezel plays like Navelic or something, he likes to spam die and instantly have nice armor to go for some kamikaze suicide PK right afterwards disregarding what death is supposed to mean in SK.

PS: I love how most players think about the best benefit for them and their characters and totally forget about game balance.

While that may be true, he also happens to have a point. I don't know anything about the no-dachis, but I got introduced to the necklaces by sheer luck at the place they come from, and even without being familiar with object balance in SK, I can tell that these are hugely out of place.

Sure, it's great that the necklaces nicely offset that PE reduction people are supposed to get from using skills as a form of balance.

I can see them being a worthwhile tool for newbies as they allow the player to focus on learning other more important things, but they really don't appear to belong in the greater game.

D_A has a very valid point. Does anyone remember the old blasted chancel before it was wimped? ALL the armor in there was mithril/adamantite and that stuf took groups to get and it was STILL wimped. I hate ragging on other cities guards, but Exile's guards are now decked out in some armor just as good and its requestable. Doesn't seem to make any sense.

I strongly suggest a cheap store bought scripted item that spams restore on you.[/sarcasm]

I'm certain a few builders would be happy to implement that though. :-?

I'm sure these overpowered items could be tweaked to only work on lower level characters, seeing as the PE loss at low levels is quite horrible.

Don't make the poor newbies suffer. :(
