Receiving tells has always had an impact on some spellcasting. It takes concentration to receive a tell and some spells take too much concentration for you to be concentrating on casting and receive a tell at the same time.

Tells take a minor part of your concentration. You probably had barely enough int to hold spells and rez someone, so the tell did that. Try sitting next time, putting on quiet mode before typing c ress or just releasing 1 spell.

That makes sense actually. Believe it or not, out of all the hours I've played priests, that was the first time I've ever been in that situation. :/
