When you're blinded you have exactly one choice. Sit around until you can see again. If you're lucky, you have a herb or a potion directly in your inventory. If you're even luckier, you have a priest at hand. If you haven't been sent a tell recently, you've got no way to contact anyone other than yelling. Presumably, you could, maybe, find a healer who can cure it for money, but since most sensible players keep their money and other valuables in their containers, they can't get to it.
Delfs are especially screwed since they've got a great shot at getting blinded anytime they fight a sorc. the Last blind person I met (RL) was actually well aware what she had in her pockets, and therefore able to actually take it out of said pocket.

So keep cure blindness potions/herbs in your inventory. Or money.

It's not like they are the elite unique items that everyone will risk getting a crime for stealing them.

PS: You can get scripted items with cure blindness also! :o

I am with DA and Erevan on this one. Blindness is fine as it is now.

I have. I am simply smart enough to always carry cure-blindness herbs or store-bought vials in my inventory when I am close to PK or in leveling areas where NPCs cast blindness. It's really THAT simple. :P

Well, you must know the game very well then, since you know
ever NPC that casts color spray.
It's true, I suppose, that everyone should carry cure blind potions/herbs
in their inventory, but you have to actually know where to get them first.
Not every new player has an instinctive grasp of sk's layout, nor always
the money to buy them.
Also, many of the times I've been blinded, I've had cure blind herbs/potions with me, but I usually don't keep them in my inventory
since put all <container> is very much easier than put item <container> x 10.
Which often means I put my potions away because I don't need them (which I don't always). I suppose the problem is that a change
to blindness would mean that people can take their recall potions and heal
potions out, and we can't have that, can we?
I like the idea of a bit of lag while blind.

Okay, I'm sorry, but why do you make your posts like that? I don't even read any of them because it's very annoying.
