I always thought shaman needed something 'more' in terms of melee combat since they only have 2nd attack and no ED. Letting them keep that version of spirit horde might be exactly what they need.

Good feature if you ask me, light armored classes like shamans aren't nearly as good tanks these days anyways.

Meh. I don't think it should remain as it is. It just doesn't make much sense.

Oh, and a second though. The NPC body slam skill also doesn't use the prone effects, I don't think.

Shamans level greatly, no matter what all of you say(that's the main reason you want enhanced damage, right? If not, play a pantheist merc with one of the many SA scripted items).

Until jman they get access to the most deadly weapon subtype of SK. That's enough damage output for those low levels. From jman they get access to frenzy. That's another great way to plvl. And when they hit mentor and get spirit horde, we are talking about the sickest levelling spell if used right. We are talking about 2 ticks/mana pool at lvl 40 within 2 mins. If that's not sick plvling, nothing is.

And this should be changed imo. Melee is already too powerful, adding the +50% dmg bonus only makes it even more powerful as it was before prone was implemented.

Since I'm playing a shaman I'll abstain on saying yeah keep it as bash, I don't really care. However, I doubt you'll see a lot of mass spirit horde causing huge damage bonuses.

But it's not the shaman that will take advantage of the resting position for extra melee damage output. It's the barbs/mercs that are grouped with him.

If prone is added for that reason(sick melee damage output), all bash/resting position affects must be fixed.

Just leave it, not like anyone plays shamans and it'll give people a tiny bit of incentive to do so.
