o all dirt &1

There, your pet initiates the battle for you and you just kill NPCs even while blinded. Doing some posi self 21; posi self 11 you go infront of the pet to prevent it from dying.

So tell me, what can you do if you are put to sleep? And why can't you compare these two spells again?

Not everyone always uses pets.
As for sleep, if you're held by NPCs, they usually release you after a relatively short time. And if you have a pet, they'll usually target that first (if you attack with it at least). As for charm, you can still send tells to people and have them summon you or come help you. Yes, blindness can be compared to sleep in that you can't do anything for a duration. But still, anyone can come around and cure a sleep spell. Just kill the caster. For blindness you need a priest/shaman.

So, you want... to be able to win this game without arranging your inventory and without even a pet/charmie/whatever? Who are you? Supermang?

[/sarcasm]

Actually I just want to learn the game. Not everyone tries to Win it. :P And I wrote here because I felt blindness was unnecessarily irritating if you weren't 100% prepared for it, but since so many of you seem to think the ability to actually do something when you're blind is so damned unreasonable, maybe it is.

I strongly suggest your chars to get the ability to restore themselves and get an insta rez because you are trying to learn the game and you might die and that might irritate your learning process.

Now, all jokes aside, RandomNumbers, I hope that at least you got helped with the -so many- pieces of advice that were offered in this thread, regarding how you can bypass blindness (especially if it's when you are leveling). Always be prepared with a store bought potion in your inventory, always keep a pet with you when leveling.

Besides, most low-level areas that may inflict blindness often have free cure blindness potions drop off killed NPCs. I would even mention more specific examples, but that would be considered a violation of IC info not be spread OOC, so you would have to ask in game.

You send me a tell that you're charmed and you want me to help you get uncharmed and I'll send up an OOC prayer that you did it. That action is cursable. ANY who try to cheat their way out of charm should be heavily cursed. That is all.

Edit: How about we make it so charmees cannot TELL or REPLY unless ORDERED to do so by their charmers?

Everyone should always have a pet at all times.
