Any useful comments about how it is affecting combat or is this still too early?

Dulrik, seeing the difference with the changes you have made is almost impossible without very extensive testing that just about nobody in the pbase of an enforced rp mud will ever do. If we had addons on this mud that listed dps over the course of 5 hours of full xping, maybe we could comment thoughtfully...but it just can't be done otherwise.

What about the fact that godzille does more damage than a smurf?

Hmm?

What about that?

For the record.

I would own Godzilla's face off.

From a first glance spell damage hurts now significantly more. I haven't had time to do some really extensive testing to see how my enchants and buffs work vs spells, but when I'll do it(I need peso online willing to spend some time also) I can give you a rough percentage of how more damaging spell damage is compared to before the change.

So I guess this update helped spell damage to be some damage actually, unlike what it was before that(I was quite often flat out resisting most damage spells). This doesn't change the fact that I believe that overall the damage is too high and combat doesn't last that long really if people are properly prepared(offensive buffs for melee or sick magic devices for spell damage), leading most PK to be just which team ganks fast the other through sick melee or leet spell devices.

It's funny that you say this, but Dark-Avenger thinks the changes are noticable enough to have an "first glance" reaction. True, he hasn't tested it yet and he could be wrong, but I'm NOT asking for numbers. I'm specifically asking for gut reactions. Changes like auto assist should be pretty noticable, assuming it's working right. The MP and size changes are more subtle, but altogether it should also create an impressionable difference in play. If it's not, then maybe things aren't working after all.

Basically, I noticed it earlier when I was trying to do some quests with a warrior in my group. What do you mean you changed the auto assist?

From what I noticed, said warrior was still getting a bonus from auto assist but that was limited to 1 attack only, not a full round of attacks. I don't know if it's possible to eliminate the whole extra attack, but even like that it's nice. Considering it can be considered a boost to REALLY slow weapons that most people don't prefer anyway.

I mean its obviously a -massive- boost to all damage spells, how much testing does it take? I don't even need to log into sk to know that by taking mp into account before saves is huge.

What I was told is that auto assist made it possible to get two consecutive full rounds of attacks in a single round, which should not have been happening. Auto assist should only ever give you a single attack when you assist and then you fall into normal combat rounds. That's what it should do now.

Ahhh, my brains.

I'll try to give you some feedback on auto-assist soon. But if what D-A said is true, (only giving one attack when it used to give a full attack routine) then it's fine in my opinion.
