Also Gilgon, you can do everything that you can do with persuade also with charm, and it is more reliable and less lag. So, that you can actually do even more sick things.

Persuade is completely worthless. It has a like 1% success rate, and...WHY THE HELL IS IT AGGRESSIVE?

Persuade is not completely worthless, but it's got a very, very limited use. It's good for what it does, but it could use a little buffing.

As to why it's aggressive, you can thank the people who were going "pers xyz drop all; pers xyz junk all."
