Or you can have them out and watch them get destroyed by acid of frost breath or get them stolen or get persuaded into quaffing one in the middle of a fight

Alias' to get them out and quaff them > that.

I would make aspersions about Achernar at this point, but it's gameplay rather than GD. Suffice it to say that some immortals don't like it when you're smart.

Characters have been deleted for it.

Somehow knowing what quest items you need before your given a quest is far more of a violation than knowing how to navigate to ToM, Radi Kenga, Citadel, Necropolis, Cain Techt, or any other number of area's that no character should really just 'figure out' on a whim their first time going there.
