The problem I have experienced with sacred armor is that people made them to fit their characters.

Look at the Aludran armor. Hello....2 different designs on the rings as far as color scheme but they do the same thing. Wasted slot.

The sacred weapon is a rapier. It just so happens one of the high followers at the time was a merc, who I believed may have been specialized in rapier.

The belt was made of adamantite. Recent changes mean next to no-one in the faith can wear them.

No torso armor for the set.

We have been requesting that the armor be changed to reflect the faith as a whole pretty much since Lirimaer became HP. For 2 RL years or so, we've been asking for this change.

The sacred armor is nice in some ways but it is also a curse in others. While faiths were allowed to design it, I kinda wish the IMM building it would have been sure that things made sense for the faith. The idea is great but unfortunately, people tend to think of themselves first and the rest later.

This has been going on with my sacred suit forever. I never considered it a bug. It doesn't even really bother me, to be honest.

I also was told that sacred suits are supposed to give both protection and armor, while my sacred armor has 2 pieces that both fire off for armor.

I just always thought there were bigger things to worry about.

Algorab's Sacred armor does not cast armor on its own, you have to remove certain peices and then put it back on, also it takes like 15% of my mana when it cast protection and armor. Makes me a sad panda

The loss of mana happens on all the suits though.

But should I have to remove and put pieces back on for armor to happen? I don't think thats supposed to be that way

That happened occasionally with the sacred Ain suit, except only with the protection script, even when I had sufficient ME

I had no idea way back when when these things were built in what felt like a rush at the time they would be set for all eternity. Hell, Lirimaer's been around for 3 of my character's lifetimes at least by now & while there was suppose to have been RP to have supported the armor going in, I don't even think it was well incoporated to the intro/history of the armor. I'd developed the story & submitted it to the other HF at the time for his review/submission. I requested the one afore mentioned piece of the suit, and let him build the rest.

Not that you'd want sacred armor changing every character-go-round, but I would think if a character/player comes up with a viable RP & armor submission it could be considered.

As for the belt, the thought would be to change its type to match majority of the suit. The two rings vary slightly in stats (as +2 and +3 look identical) but I concur it's a waste of a slot.

... hmm, this probably should probably be split off the thread here and dumped into the Pantheon forum for discussion. But as long as we're going on about fixing scripts on the items, I'd put the suggestion in as well that if a faith/church wants to do something to revamp it, there be a way to go about it that takes a bit less time then ... 2 years?!

I never had any problems with Marfik's or Mira's sacred suits :D

Except the fact a wand was supposed to be also made when the mira suit was created, but thats not much of a problem.

I think the problem is a few of the sacred suits are much more well thought out than others. As those above have mentioned problems with the suits their familiar with, I'd like to add the Sadr suit to the list.

Also: I'm fairly certain the timer for rotting on the Sadr suit is broken, but I keep forgetting to say something about it. I'm fairly certain anyone can wear it and although I've left it laying on the ground for hours at a time, it's never crumbled on me.
