Yeah.. I totally endorse this idea.

As a warlock.. sometimes your elemental will miss a bash and be prone, but the battle will end before Prone wears off. So the Warlock moves on to the next battle. Upon the first c magma you realize "im being ripped apart by this NPC, where is my.. O [REDACTED]!".

Having played a warlock just recently. QFT. I actually got PK'd twice or more because of this.

In addition to the other post about pets, following, all that jazz. I endorse this as well.

But what coding could be proposed if you want to flee in battle and leave your formation... Would you have to just walk out? That is the problem.

Maybe a toggle for it?

Let's see if I get this...

What about options?

Flee - you run!
gflee - you and your group run, but only group leaders can use it, with a % chance per member, maybe higher for pets/charmed?

Just an idea.

Well, wait a sec, that's not at all what I'm asking for/talking about. I'm not sure where it came from even. All I'm thinking is it might be nice to have something to tell you if when you're moving from room to room one of your group members doesn't follow you for some reason. It's got nothing to do with fleeing or retreating or all that jazz.

I'm very much ok with not wanting something like that because it makes the game easier on people who want to pay a little less attention while leading, but especially when you have people sneaking in your group, it would be nice. I will happily concede that I have no experience with real group pk on this game and that my opinion isn't worthwhile in that regards. I'm just basing it off my experience with leading exp parties.

Merc skill.

It would be nice if my priestess didn't have to leave her pet behind all the time, or had an option (with higher fail chance) of not leaving without the pet.

but again, it would be NICE to have the options, even with different success rates. I can live with it as is though, have till now after all ;)

Thats what you type 'c wor' for.
Though, I admit if your exploring being instantly popped back to your portal stones might be a bit of a hindrance :P

You know, if you flee, your pet will flee after a round or two as long as it's not prone.

Generally this topic has no reason to exist. Set up a trigger in your client and when you get a trip/bash msg(successful or failure) you will echo something like PRONE! PRONE! PRONE! in big red letters or something. And when they regain their footing, setup another trigger that will be like UP UP UP!!! GO! in big blue letters or something.

Did you even read the post? I don't care about my pet when I flee, that's my responsibility for fleeing. I'm more thinking of when a group mate gets agro'd on the way past a spider or fadelion or whatever, or when yes, they are prone after a fight and I walk out of the room. If you think everyone should set up a client trigger for it, then why isn't it a good idea?

Because it takes away from merc skill called retreat.

And SK already offers messages about being prone or not being prone. If you don't want to pay enough attention to them, set up echos(or sounds) from triggers to make it even easier for you.

What more do you want? An auto pilot option? :P
