He's not dogmatic because he routinely breaks the law, and also shows superior problem-solving skills whilst using initiative and self-directed courses of action.

I gotta agree with that. I'll find something else to smack a dogmatic label on, just you wait.

Why everyone keeps repeating that dogmatic characters have to follow the law? Someone's dogma could be the ultimate justice (in his own mind), making him punish the lawbreakers in ways that would break the law themselves... Just like Batman.

edit: Though I liked the rogue-barb Alshainite version. :D

Same can be said for diabolics and scrupulous, though.

Sure, a dogmatic can be a follower of some peculiar and truly odd to others way of monastic life, but it won't be something he conceived himself.

Its generally the 'tool' alignment, from my perspective. Wait. Is this even the topic of this discusson? :">

No, this is not the discussion topic but a tangent derived thereof. A dogmatic character will be dogmatic to a theology or philosophy created by another. "His own dogma" will be enough to make him a different alignment. I would think 40% anarchist, 40% dark, 20% light, but not dogmatic. Whatever the percentages and alingments, one's own creation of dogma would be outside the pervue of the dogmatic alignment.
