Still, it doesn't make sense to type "look wolf" and not see "Frank the pegasus is in excellent condition" like you would for named NPCs or PCs.

No one else should see it. You can't have a pet "greet" anyone or anything. But you should be able to know it.

I'm sorry if the originally posted question has already been answered. A forum search listed this as the best fit...

Is there truly no way of determining your pet's name if you forget it?

I used to use the exact same name for every pet, until I lost a pet and bought another ... then tried summoning it, only for the original one to arrive.
