Many readers want longer signatures, too.

Can we consider getting both options for our forums? Longer signature limits + option to block all of them. More happy users.

Can someone give me a reasonable explanation for longer sigs? That rant fest in GD doesn't have a single one.

Because people want them, there really doesn't need to be a better reason than that, and if there is a hide sig option, then there is no reason not to allow it.
