I have never seen a more perfect opening for a 'your mom' joke.

I haven't voted yet because the yes options give me a deer-in-the-headlights look.

Allow longer signatures and allow people the option to block signatures. One of those cute little radio buttons in the profile settings.

Some signatures possess insightful/funny quotes/credos, and it's interesting to see the culture spectrum of our pbase.

I'd rather only block stupid ones that exploit longer signatures for pictures or other space-wasting frivolity. The proposed suggests blocking all signatures.

The solution is to shorten or keep signatures the way they are.

I deliberately left the length of signatures out altogether - if the majority vote that signatures not be hidden, what's the point of letting folks loose with paragraphs of crap?

Yes, Jardek's signature was the catalyst for the question, but smacking him down / deleting his forum ID won't prevent the next person who wants to 'be different' from doing it and we're back where we started from.

I had to read in between the lines to work out what your vote actually was, but you seemed to list a bunch of reasons for it nonetheless. Not sure who you're pointing the finger at here though.

I will just say "yes" but I don't really care if we get that feature or not, but others may want it. But I probably won't ever use it though.

I still would like the option for longer sigs though, as requested by a quite a few other posters.

The most curious thing about all this to me is, why make a poll about it? It's not like you ever really make changes according to the will of the people (or we'd get 200 character sigs, or any number of other things that have been voted on to no effect).
