I am sure that everyone is tired of crazy noobs or anyone that you don't care about, greeting everyone in the room so you have to learn their name and forget someone else that need to know.

The Auto Ignore function would would produce something like:
A male elf greets everyone in the room.
A male sprite greets a male elf.
You turn your head away from the elf and do not catch his name.
A male halfling does not seem to be paying attention to a male elf.

I am not sure if you could use this command to ignore someone that greets only you, but that would be cool as well.

I just think you should not be forced to greet people that you don't want to.

Nah. I use greet all almost all of the time--I mean, if I say my name and someone else is listening, that person should remember it too. If you forget someone else's name, then it's your own damn fault for not hanging out with your buddies in the first place! :P

That is the only time I have used a great all. I did not really care/want the others to know my name but I feel that they know my name because they overheard me introduce myself to the other.

No, I think it screws up other people's RP for their characters. Also, if someone walks in a room and screams out their name, you're going to hear it in real life. You might not care, but you're not under obligation to talk to them or anything.

There is an ignore command, just don't have auto greet on and ignore them them when they greet you. RPing it out that way is so much more badass.

I think we just shouldn't forget names, thats a bit too realistic for a game.
