Its just a minor problem just turn on auto follow a room away and then pick the door you need. Pick lock is IMMENSELY useful, especially in cities like Ch'zzrym or in the Sea caves.

Pick lock rocks, I just think that many locks needs to be looked at to see if they really can/cannot be picked.
