Shattered Kingdoms

Hi i use to play a lot but i pretty much stopped when i left uni and then hung around and lurked till 2003.

I'm thinking of coming back to the game and was wondering if any one had any good advice for a born again newb. To give you a idea of how long ago i last played propaly at the time there was no age death, we didnt have the forums only the yahoo group and exile hadnt had its makeover.

Thinking of maybe scout or sorc but any advice on how to best get back into the flow of the gamem would be great ^^

Welcome back! It sounds like almost a new game now, compared to your time, from what I understand of those days - is that even before the mythical Golden Age?

Sorc might be better than scout for settling back in, greybie sorc of Uxmal who can be on everybody's side and help/get help from anybody. Nice to explore with relatively safely, good for travel, always useful.

I think you played prior to art and cha being trainable stats. And I think necs can still solo destroy cities.

They've been nerfed but... a skilled player can still nec-solo.

I'm so buying an SK shirt soon.

Play a sorc. Magic missile is THE spell to level with. Easy to not die, just hit 'c eth'.. and everyone wants you as a friend for your spellset.

There's some oldbies still around. Who'd you play?
