I propose we remove holy symbol as a priest spell and add it to the spell list of anyone who is flagged with High Follower, regardless of class. Many faiths, but particularly hellion and paladin faiths, have had to suffer without an effective source of holy symbols. It is, after all, only a RP spell. If this isn't given to all HF's, then the spell should at least be added to the spell list of paladins and hellions.

sorry, but if you have no priests worthy of F2, your religion is SOL. Keep it as-is. Recruit and develop priests.

F2 != F3

It's that simple. You can have whatever HF you want. You just need F2 priest for symbols. Doesn't mean priest is HF since HF = F3 and F3 != F2.

Heh, okay, symbols were removed from NPCs to make F2 priests necessary. Now that F2 priests are necessary, everyone's screaming for non-priests to be able to cast the spell. Either lay the blame on the non-priest F3s for not promoting any priests to F2 or lay the blame on the p-base for not making priests quality enough to deserve F2 status. The system works fine as-is.

In all the years I've been playing, I've never seen this happen. I have seen pally/helly go inactive and loose it, or be forced to share it, but that's the sucky part of a religion. You don't control it as the F3, your patron IMM does. But, if you stay on their good side and you pull crazy hours, they might let you solo F3 with a trusted F2.

And, you only need an F2 to make symbols. If you don't have a single F2, then either promote one, or you need to work really hard reviving the religion...
