It is a stupid RP restriction that exists for no reason. Paladins in the Druids but no Barbs in the fist, eternally ridiculous.

Griffon claws and fist skills don't stack. If wild fighting and fist skills do stack it would take an exceedingly minor code change to merely 'disable' wild fighting upon joining the fist if need be. As it stands, I don't even think they do stack.

Once again, it's a stupid restriction on roleplay that forces players to see that lovely message, "You can't do that."

Brawling and wild fighting do not factor in any more

Glad I ain't the only one that thinks this way.

How many people play there mercenary, as a mercenary? Rare to see people selling out their services as fighters, especially since a mercenary is neutral and fighters for whomever pays for his services. RP wise, a mercenary should never be allowed in the FIST, they ain't passive in any regards and are hired out body guards/warriors/hitman. Now with that said, isn't it ironic that Barbarians are suppose to play by their description? where Mercenaries are not.

We'll have no logic here.

Mercenaries don't have freaking out like a crazy, uh, barbarian as one of the most important parts of his skill sets. The words berserk and fury seem to indicate something opposite from the idea of control and rigid structure that is the monastic life. Nothing in the mercenary skill set relies upon the use of emotion.

Controlled, focused rage is different than blind, rampant emotion. After all, barbs aren't required to attack and kill everyone on sight when furied, including friends and family. That would indicate that their rage is not uncontrolled.

In fact, it makes more than just a little bit of sense that a barb would be demonstrating MORE emotional control than your average person. They trigger emotions within themselves and then focus them to a specific goal, regardless of what those emotions would have them do when let loose unchecked.

Chem is right (someone should notify the records people about that btw). Just because the barb class is called barbarian, doesn't mean that the rp MUST BE uncontrolled, loose-cannon-style madman at the mercy of every emotional whim. Fury represents control above and beyond what your average shmuck can muster, not Hulk-style freak outs.

Yeah, but the Fist doesn't even do controlled anger. Anger is something to be suppressed, not used.
