Actually, the first age tick for elves and deep-elves comes 37 years after creation, which is about average for most PCs. The earliest first age tick comes to humans, at 29 years, and the longest half-elves, who reach their first age tick 58 years after character creation.

Not trying to debunk your point... but I've also heard that the difference between 24 int and 25 int is hardly noticeable. I've also heard that you don't necessarily get +1 mental stat caps/-1 physical stats at each age tick either.

And cannibal, you should loosen up on Orac.

No debunk taken, lol. I stated earlier that I figured that the one point would hardly do much for the races, let alone balance them out. I just think it might be a good place to start. Maybe it's just me and my ocd, but the lack of them being able to achieve it just bugs me alot. I dunno. I'll stop ranting now :D .

What I would love is an Imm opinion on why this is.

Well, think of it this way: no races can have max STR, DEX, or CON after age ticks take them away. In the same way, no race can have max INT or CHA until age ticks -grant- them such.

That's pretty much what I was going to say, but Pyras beat me to it. If you are ever going to have max physical stats, you have to be able to achieve them right away, because they are only going down with age. For mental stats, no race can achieve 25 from the start because that leaves them no room to grow later in life.

However, I do think that I am going to improve somewhat the difference between 24 and 25 INT for the next update.

While you're at it D, could you make it so that you can train those extra stat points in WIS, CHA, INT after you age tick? As far as I know, the only way you can do it currently is by modding with equipment.

Hmm... have you tried that? I would think that once your max is higher due to age, you should be able to train it.

There was a known problem with doing this some time back, but I haven't played a character to this point for some time.

I'm sure other people will have more recent experience with this than I do.
