My request for track was built on mostly an RP thing..thinking that if (in my mind) Barbarians have track, and scouts have track... then it would make sense for the leader of the tribe (the shaman) to have the same skill, since they proabably all go hunting together, and I always like to assume that the shaman when channeling their "anscestors" are talking to their great grandma Bibble the the Legendary hunter/barb who would track for them... or teach them too...

Perhaps I just always Imagined the shaman as the soothsayer...not just fighting and healing...but also giving advice to the tribe... leading them to the best hunt...

I don't understand how you can compare tracking to some kind of random power that people have. Tracking is being able to follow someones footsteps, it has nothing to do with spiritual power or the worlds powers.

It's not far fetched for any class to be able to do this, and the remarks about how all the other tribesman have track, why not a shaman is enough of a case for me to give it to them. If anything, shamans should have track and warlocks should lose it.

Spirits are telling the shaman what the spiritual residue of the area looks like.

Tracking works on tracks from golems also for example.

Unless golems have a spirit or so! :o

Ok, give priests tracking then, cause if the spirits can, I am sure the Gods can as well.

Stupid.

Gods grant favor, they aren't acctually THERE with the shaman on a regular basis. Spirits are everywhere, ghods kind of come and go as they please.

Rabbit spirit sitting over in the corner was talkative, or the spider spirit hanging on the wall taking in everything.

Werewolf the Apocalypse....or whatever they butchered it into these days.

Ok, genius. Next time you ask a priest to pray for your rezz, better hope that his God will be around, else you are screwed.

we have gods not God, they are individual entities that are not omnipresent (otherwise the immstaff would be really overworked.) Gods LEND there favor, or in other words grant a small amount of power to their disciples, it can be taken away, at that point you are severed from your diety you are left without all his cool blessings.

Everything has a spirit, at least that is how I see it, shaman are in tune with the spirits that surround us so they should be able to get some chit chat from them at some point and time. Ancestors come and grant favors, but ancestrial lines can go on and on and on and on, so the likelyhood that you would find a couple of them giving you favor is pretty likely.

I have great discussions with christians on the matter. You have to look at your mythology and try and put some sense to it.
